Conflict Exercise – Barriers
There can be a lot of barriers to handling conflict. Some individuals may have a harder time with conflict compared to others. Talking through what has hindered and what has helped with handling conflict can reveal where yourself and team members can be more supportive and productive with conflict resolution.
TEAM SHARING
In a group, list out what has hindered handling conflict (for yourself or witnessed in others at current or previous organizations). Then create a list of what has helped with handling conflict (for yourself or witnessed in others at current or previous organizations). Reflect as a team the lists created. Share any insights.

- Do you feel you can see where action on your part can be done? What about from a team perspective?
- What strengths do you have related to conflict resolution? Where do you think you can grow?
- What’s one action step you plan to take going forward? What are three action steps your team plans to do going forward?
- Do you feel you were seen today with what was shared? Is there anything else you’d like to share?
