Focusing on Strengths can drive individual and team success.

This Strengths Hub offers practical resources for individuals and teams. These resources explore individuals own strengths, colleagues strengths, and utilizing these strengths at the team level.

Why Focusing on Strengths Matter
Focusing on the strengths of yourself, your colleagues, and your team can drive better results, accelerate skill development, and highlight the benefits of a diverse strengths based team. Understanding the variety of strengths on your team allows you to tackle challenges more effectively, leveraging each individuals unique capabilities. When individuals and teams operate from their strengths “superpowers,” problems can be solved faster, making goal achievement more efficient and impactful.

Below, you’ll find a detailed breakdown of the Strengths Hub, including:

  • Strengths Assessment Exercise – Team Problem Solving
  • Strengths Assessment Exercise – Strengths Show and Tell
  • Strengths Assessment Exercise – Applying Strengths to Goals
  • Strengths Assessment Reflection
  • Ongoing Application and Reinforcement

Strengths Assessment Exercises

TEAM PROBLEM SOLVING
The Team Problem Solving exercise guides participants in identifying three problems prior to the group discussion. During the group discussion, the team will work through each problem by leveraging individual strengths for potential solutions. Once a solution is chosen, a detailed problem solution will be completed by the team.

STRENGTHS SHOW AND TELL
Strengths Show and Tell is an excellent exercise to showcase your own story of when your strength(s) were a superpower, while also highlighting strength stories for two colleagues. Post sharing discussion question options are listed to better reflect on the stories and impact they have on you and your team.

APPLYING STRENTGHS TO GOALS
Applying strengths to goal accomplishment increases the likelihood of successful goal completion. This exercise breaks down each goal, applying your strengths, identifying potential negative affects of the strength(s) with the goal, and rewriting the goal to incorporate the strengths.

Strengths Assessment Reflection

After completing a self-assessment related to your top strengths, dive into our Assessment Reflection for personal insight, group conversations, and post-discussion reflection. You’re not expected to answer every question; instead, choose the ones that resonate most with you or your team to guide meaningful growth and connection.

Not sure which self-assessment questionnaire to choose? Reach out—we’re happy to recommend trusted assessment options to get you started.

Ongoing Application and Reinforcement

After a training, exercise, or assessment is completed, ongoing application and reinforcement become the focus. Learning is sustained through follow-up trainings, exercises, and/or micro-learning opportunities, as well as by integrating the topic into goals, performance conversations, recognition efforts, and peer learning groups.

When recognition, performance conversations, goals, and coaching takes place, intentionally connecting feedback back to the learnings helps further embed and reinforce them. As individuals build knowledge, experience, and confidence, they are empowered to lead, share insights, and support others in applying the learning as well.

This approach reflects the meaning of Praeliscere with Learn, Apply, Lead.
